Table Views
A view decides how a Table looks: as a grid or a Kanban board, which rows show, in what order, grouped how. Views never change the data — hiding a column or filtering out a row only changes what you see.
Each placement keeps its own view. The same Table can be a Kanban board on your "Sprint" Canvas and a sorted grid on your "Archive" Canvas. If a Table is open in the Right Panel but isn't on any Canvas, the toolbar says "View settings are temporary until this table is added to a canvas."
Table or Kanban
Use the view switch (tooltip Switch view) in the Table's header on the Canvas, or in the Right Panel's toolbar:
- Table — rows and columns.
- Kanban — one lane per value of a column, each row a card you can drag between lanes. + New at the bottom of a lane adds a row with that value.
Kanban lanes come from the first Status column, or else the first Select or Multi-select column. Change it with Group.
Example: a task Table with a Status column of Not started / In progress / Done becomes a three-lane board; drag a task from In progress to Done and its Status changes.
Where the view settings are
- On the Canvas: click the gear in the Table's header (tooltip View settings). The menu lists Property visibility, Column width, Filter, Sort, Group, Sub-group, Kanban-card title and Schedule. While a filter, sort or grouping is on, a chip for it stays in the header; click the chip to change it.
- In the Right Panel: the same settings are buttons on the toolbar.
- From a column: the column menu has Filter, Sort and Group for that column.
Filter
Show only the rows that match.
- Open Filter and click Add filter.
- Pick a column, an operator, and a value, then Add.
Operators depend on the column type: is, is not, contains, does not contain, >, <, ≥, ≤, is empty, is not empty. Checkbox columns use Checked / Unchecked. Add more filters the same way. Clear filters removes them all.
Sort
Open Sort and pick a column, Ascending or Descending. Remove sort goes back to your own order. While a Table is sorted, you can't drag rows to reorder them.
Group
Open Group and choose Group by a column. Rows with the same value are gathered under a heading; rows with no value go into "No column name".
- Sort under Group order: Manual, Ascending or Descending.
- In the Groups list, pin a group to the top (Pin group), hide it (Hide group), or use Show all / Hide all.
- The grouping column can't be hidden while you group by it.
In Kanban, the grouping column is what makes the lanes. Sub-group splits each lane into horizontal swimlanes by a second column.
Kanban-card title
In Kanban, choose which column is shown as each card's title.
Property visibility and column width
- Property visibility — show or hide columns. (You can also hide a column from its menu.)
- Column width (Table view): Default, Compact, or Fit to content. Drag a column's edge to size one column by hand.
- Wrap content in a column's menu lets long text wrap in that view.
