Comments

A comment is a note about a passage of a Card that lives beside the text instead of in it. Use one to question a claim, leave yourself a reminder, or mark something to check later — the Card's text stays as it is.

Add a comment

  1. While editing a Card, select the words you want to discuss.
  2. Click Add comment in the selection toolbar.
  3. Type your comment and click Send.

Reply, edit and delete

Comments appear in boxes beside the Card, tied to the words they're about.

  • Reply in the same box with Reply.
  • Your own comments have Edit and Delete.
  • Deleting from the thread's header deletes the whole thread.

Find comments in a long Card

When a comment's words have scrolled out of view inside a tall Card, a comment button appears in the Card's header (Show comment out of view / Show next comment) to bring the next one back.

In the Right Panel, the Comments button shows all of a Card's comments in one column. See Artifacts Gallery → Write in a Card here.

Comments and Lino AI

Lino AI can read a Card's comments, unless the Card is hidden from AI — then it sees neither the Card nor its comments. See Privacy.
