Daily Drafts & Archive
Every account comes with two built-in Spaces. You can't rename, re-icon, reorder or delete them, and you don't create Canvases in them by hand — they fill themselves.

Daily Drafts
Daily Drafts gives you a scratch Canvas for each day — somewhere to drop a thought now and sort it out later.
Open today's Canvas
Click Daily Drafts in the Space column in the top-left corner. Lino opens today's Canvas, named with the date (for example "Oct 3, 2026"), and creates it if it doesn't exist yet. It's a normal Canvas: add Cards, Images, Tables, anything.
Browse earlier days
The top of Daily Drafts is a calendar (the Daily Drafts Timeline). Each day that has a draft Canvas shows as a tile with a preview of what's on it.
- Double-click a day to open it.
- Use Previous Month / Next Month to move through months, and Jump to today to come back.
- In Daily Drafts, double-clicking the zoom indicator (bottom-right) jumps to the most recent day.
Move a draft somewhere permanent
When an idea grows up, move it out:
- To move one object, right-click it → Move to Canvas... (or Copy to Canvas... to keep it in the draft too).
- To move the whole day, open the navigator and use the day's row menu → Move to Canvas....
A day's name is its date, so it can't be renamed.
Archive
Archive (shown as Archived) is where Canvases go when you put them away. Nothing in it is lost, and archived Canvases stay out of Recent and out of your active Spaces.
Archive a Canvas
- In the navigator, hover the Canvas's row → More (⋮) → Archive.
- Or on a Canvas, right-click a nested Canvas tile → Archive. With several Canvas tiles selected, Archive moves them all.
The Canvas — with every Canvas nested inside it — moves into Archived, under a Canvas named for today's date. Archiving several things on the same day files them together.
Find something in Archive
The top of Archived is a calendar like Daily Drafts. Each day you archived something shows a stack of the Canvases archived that day, with a count. Hover to see how many; double-click to enter. In the navigator, Archived lists the archived Canvases themselves rather than the days, and Search canvases... finds them by name too.
Bring a Canvas back
Use Move to Canvas... from its row menu (it says "Move it back out of Archived") and pick where it should go.
Delete for good
Deleting is only offered inside Archived:
- One Canvas: its row menu → Delete.
- A whole day: on the Archived calendar, right-click the day's stack → Delete (or Delete N stacked).
Lino asks you to confirm. Cards, Images and other items on those Canvases stay in your Artifacts Gallery, but the Canvases themselves can't be brought back.
