Canvas

Imagine a Canvas as an infinite desk or workbench where you organize your thoughts and materials. Spread out, arrange things spatially, and zoom in or out as your ideas grow.

Canvases are not folders

A folder contains a file in exactly one place. A Canvas is a stage — the exact same materials (cards, images, sketches, tables) can appear on different canvases simultaneously. Edit an artifact once and it updates everywhere it's used. See Artifacts for how this works.

Flexible scope

A canvas can be anything you need it to be — a temporary task, a school course, or a long-term project. There are no rules about what belongs on one.

Nested canvases

Canvases can be nested inside one another, letting you build multi-layered visual worlds for structured thinking. A card on the outer canvas can open into its own canvas underneath.
